Wolverhampton (pronounced /ˌwʊlvərˈhæmptən/) is a city and metropolitan borough of the West Midlands, England. Alternatively, the city may have earned its original name from Wulfereēantūn = \"Wulfhere\'s high or principal enclosure or farm\" after the Mercian King.
