Cumberland Terrace
Cumberland Terrace is a terrace on the eastern side of Regent's Park in the London Borough of Camden. It was one of several terraces and crescents around Regent's Park designed by the British architect John Nash (1752–1835) around the Park, having the patronage of the then Prince of Wales (later George IV) during the English Regency. The terrace was designed to stand opposite the Prince's proposed palace within the park and was therefore of particular importance in the scheme. It was named after the King's younger brother, the Duke of Cumberland. Nordic churches in London There are several long-established Nordic churches in London. All seek to provide Lutheran Christian worship and pastoral care to their respective national communities in their own languages. Many of the churches also organise language classes and organise a wide range of social activities. Chester Terrace Chester Terrace is one of the terraces in Regent's Park, London, England designed by John Nash. The terrace has the longest unbroken facade in Regents Park (about 280 metres).[1] The terrace takes its name from one of the titles of George IV before he became king, Earl of Chester.[2] It lies within the London Borough of Camden.
